The Lamp Shop
The Lamp Shop was originally started as Bob and Pat’s Lamp Shop in downtown Piqua, Ohio in 1941. The original owners ran the shop until they died, and someone else bought it to continue running it under the same name and location. After a while, another couple bought it, became the third owner, and moved it to their farm in Houston, Ohio and changed its name to The Lamp Shop.
The fourth but current owner, Bruce Bodo, purchased the business in April of 2014 and eventually moved the shop to Troy, Ohio in August of the same year. Bruce preferred the lovely city of Troy and the lively North County Rd 25-A so that it would be easier to conduct business, to keep the old customers of the first owners, and to attract new ones, especially the ones who are coming from Dayton. The city administration of Troy, Ohio inaugurated The Lamp Shop in November 6, 2014 but it has been running for about 70 years now, with its phone number stayed the same as it had been at Piqua even though it was moved from one town to another.
The Lamp Shop caters to people in the Miami Valley and help them solve the problems with respect to lamp repairs and lighting needs.
